Description

The very short par 4 third hole measures less than 300 yards from the tips. Reminiscent of the 10th hole at the Belfry outside of London , this is a classic risk/reward hole off the tee. The bunkers are well placed on the right and left. The shorter hitters want to play down the left side, avoiding the bunkers. This sets up the easiest shot to the green. For those straying to the right, the horseshoe shaped pond comes into play. The design of the pond essentially makes the green look as if it is on a peninsula. For the longer hitters who dare, the opening on the left side of the green is very tempting from the tee. Hit a perfect drive and birdie, or even eagle, is possible. Miss it and double bogey or worse is very possible. This beautiful hole is surrounded by lush vegetation and giant palm trees. The players are immediately reminded they are in the Caribbean and the adventure is just beginning.
